I recently had a horrible experience with Just Flowers. The delivery I ordered arrived two days late. Two different customer service reps said they would investigate and get back to me. No one did. I wrote a long, detailed message on their “online inquiry” email, and again no response. A 4th try…I asked to talk to a supervisor. He found out that in fact the delivery was two days late, but refused to cancel my charge. I went through VISA and the charge has been canceled. I will never use Just Flowers again.
Nancy, what a frustrating experience! But thanks for sharing so others benefit. If anything, a company should bend over backward to make things right when they don’t deliver on-time. Forcing you to go through your bank for a refund is bad business.
Not happy!! I was in the middle of a thunder storm & the electricity went out as I hit “convfirm order
. and the power went out. I got no confirmattion number & couldn’t print out a confirmation. Called the next a.m. & no one could find the order or confirm an e-mail confirmation. Therefor, I re-ordered…only to find out later in the day, that BOTH orders had been recieved, filled and billed to my credit card. I contacted customer service immediately with no satisfaction. I will NEVER order from justflowers again!!!
I never got flowers sent, nor did I receive any refund. I called 20 times. Same answer. I am so angry with myself and them. They are so irresponsible and they need to be punished. It’s the same as a scam.
I ordered some flowers on 10/7/10 to be delivered on 10/8 for my mother’s bday. She never received the flowers. I called them and they told me that they would have to call the florist. Called the florist they didn’t get an answer so they told me that I would have to wait until they speak with the florist to see if and why the flowers hadn’t been delivered. I was so freaking pissed at this company. I wished I would have looked them up before I used them. This was my first time ever ordering flowers. I can’t wait to speak with these people tomorrow. My instinct told me not to use these people when the guy wouldn’t give me a price over the phone but told me to check my email for the pricing. The shipping & handling as well as the service charge was ridiculous. Oh! I even paid for express shipping to ensure it would get there in time.
I ordered flowers yesterday and am having a horrible time with not only Just Flowers but also the florist (I called all the local florists to find who was processing my order). The pictures on the website mean nothing–they don’t even try to match the arrangement. Contacting you? Forget it. Flowers were delivered (inferior and late) and I’ve learned my lesson. Do not deal with the website; call a local florist directly–the online convenience is not worth it when it comes to flowers. And if you don’t like the florist, call someone else but don’t use Just flowers.
I have to say after coming across your website this morning and reading all the bad reviews on justflowers.com I LITERALLY HAD A PANIC ATTACK as I had just placed (at 10:50am TODAY) a $50 order with them to deliver flowers to my sister-in-law in Boulder, CO.
So I called Just Flowers to try to cancel the order and it had already been sent out to the florist there in Boulder. Ok, so I’m thinking after reading all these reveiws here and on many other sites including BBB. I thought “ya right, whatever!” so I called my bank to try to find out how to cancel the charge on my debt at the same time as calling my sister-in-law to tell her to let me know if she ever gets the flowers or not.
It is now 1:04pm and my sister- in- law just called me to let me know she got the flowers when she got back from class. NO JOKE! She said they were fine and she even got the balloon I sent with it! I’m shocked. I was really thinking that I just got scammed!
ok, so maybe they are really on the ball now after all these complaints! Who knows. But the flowers got there! Thank God!
I don’t know if I will ever use justflowers.com again. They are a little more than other on-line flower companies. But just wanted to share my results with using them. Thank you!
This was the worst experience ever. Used them once before which was also a mess but I figured I had to give them another chance since there were only a few companies able to deliver to the remote location. Should have went with my instinct and NOT used them. I will try to sum this up quickly since the saga has been ongoing and as of yet, still no resolution. I ordered the “happily Ever After” arrangement and paid the extra $20 bucks for the “deluxe”. What my sister in law received (on her wedding day) was a very small arrangement that did NOT have the gorgeous wicker basket it was supposed to have (it had a little glass vase), nothing of the color it was supposed to be and there were numerous stems with broken off flowers. what the justflowers representative told me was they had to pay extra since the florist charged THEM extra because of the distance, so they instructed the florist to just go ahead and send a smaller arrangement. Don’t you think they should have at least given me the option to decide if I wanted to send a small arrangement with a basic vase or perhaps pay extra? I know they are in a remote area and would have been understanding to that. Nope, instead they took it upon themselves to not be out a few bucks and send a crappy little arrangement. Luckily the recipient told me. Unfortunately I have been on the phone arguing with justflowers outsourced representatives (sure you can imagine they are harder to understand and don’t know how to sympathize since they can only read off their script). They even called my sister in law (the recipient) to drill her with petty questions because they told me “well how do I know what you are saying is accurate?!) I did not even ask for a full refund at first, but of course after all the back and forth phone calls, accusing me of lying and drilling the recipient, I was so upset that i just wanted my money back. I told them they can have their flowers back since i will be buying my sister in law a new arrangement. Such a joyous day and I have been arguing on the phone since. They actually offered to give me 5 dollars back or a discount towards my next order (like i would ever order from them again!). I am going to have to dispute the charge with my CC company so i can get my money back and purchase a new arrangement. absolutely disgusting customer service. please beware!
Cheap Flowers and Late Delivery AND BAD SERVICE..
I can’t believe this company with so REALLY BAD SERVICE. i ordered a flowers yesterday and since i am having a headache. The people there are only nice until you give all the credit card information, after that they don’t care at all. I pay for having the delivery early in the morning, it was 1 pm and still they did not why the flowers haven’t arrived. They said they will call me back and they didn’t. Every time a called them, they a a new excuse or reason …but at the end they don’t resolved it. The ONLY thing I can said is PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY …be aware of the big issue this company has as the previous comments also said.
What a terrible place to buy flowers. Buyer beware. The flowers were about 1/4 the size the appeared on the picture. Rozes had brown edges and other plants were dried out. They offered a $10 refund, but to little to late. They also offered a discount on future purchases but I told them to keep it as I would never use them again.
I placed an order Thursday to be delivered on Monday for my mothers birthday. I called Monday morning bright and early to make sure there were no problems and they informed me everything was on schedule. I have been on the phone all day with these people. They will not tell me who the florist is that they placed the order through and just keep telling me that it is “in transit.” They promised a confirmation email which I never got. I have never been so frustrated. You can hardly understand them and just keep getting lame excuses such as “it was too cold to be delivered by 1.” Can you believe that?! I am literally floored. I will never use them again.
I ordered a wreath online to be delivered to my boyfriend for the holidays while he was working away from home in Hawaii. The delivery date was set for a Saturday. When I received no word from him about the wreath on Saturday, I called the customer service line on Sunday and received an apology and promise it would be delivered that day. I came home to an email that evening apologizing again for the delay and that the arrangement would be delivered on Monday. Monday afternoon I received a phone call from Just Flowers telling me the arrangement would run an additional $15 to be delivered in Hawaii. After speaking with a “supervisor” I was told the cost would be waived and the flowers would be delivered that afternoon. Three hours later I noticed I had 18 missed phone calls from Just Flowers and the arrangement I had ordered could not be made for the amount of money I had paid, however a “candy cane” wreath could be delivered instead. When I told them it was unacceptable, they promised the arrangement I had ordered would be delivered the following day…are you following along? This is now day four. On Tuesday (day four), I received another call telling me they could do the “candy cane” wreath or else it would cost me an additional $30 to send the original wreath I ordered. When I told them to “eat the cost” and fix the problem, the “supervisor” offered to give me $10 off. Needless to say, I told them to shove it and cancelled my order. I don’t know how these people stay in business, but the left hand doesn’t seem to know what the right hand is doing, their customer service line connection sucks, and their common sense on handling customer complaints is appalling. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! You’ve been warned!
Just Flowers is more like Just Awful. I ordered flowers online on a Friday for delivery on a Sat (and paid extra for the privilege of having them delivered on a Sat). Called my friend on Sunday to make sure that the flowers arrived. No flowers. No phone call or email from Just Flowers either. I call them to ask and they tell me that they cannot tell me anything about my order because it is a Sunday (what??). I tell them to just cancel the order as the special occasion has passed and they tell me that they cannot cancel it because it is a Sunday (double what??). I hear nothing Monday. On Tuesday, Just Flowers sends me an email telling me that they have a question about my order. I call them and tell them to cancel it. They tell me that they cannot cancel it but are going to take $5.00 off the $67.00 cost of the order (nope, they were not kidding). I informed them that I was not paying for the order at all since it was now four days late and planned to contest any charge to my credit card. They finally agreed to cancel my order after subjecting me to more call center run around, but I will be checking my credit card just to be sure. In sum, Just Flowers is a terrible place to order flowers and I won’t ever make that mistake again.
Just found out that they didn’t deliver funeral flowers to my best friend’s dad’s service supposedly because they couldn’t find a florist in Oakhurst to do it. I find that hard to believe. They didn’t bother telling me this info until after the service started, so I didn’t have the option of trying other avenues myself. The manager was mildly apologetic at the most and offered to call my friend and tell her that I did try to order flowers. I said somehow I doubted that after going to her dad’s funeral, she’d want to talk to some idiotic person about why she didn’t get flowers. They already charged my card but assured me it’d be credited immediately. I’ll be leaving another review if that doesn’t happen and I think I’ll also contact the BBB. Stay away from these people!!!!!!
I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN. NOT ONLY DID THEY DELIVER HALF OF MY ORDER, THEY GAVE ME THE WRONG FLOWERS. I CALLED THEM BACK, AND EXPLAINED I RECIEVED THE WRONG FLOWERS, WAS MISSING ANOTHER SET OF FLOWERS AND BALLOONS. THEY APOLOGIZED AND SAID THEY WOULD FIX IT. THEN THEY CALLED ME BACK AND SAID THEY DIDNT HAVE THE RIGHT FLOWERS OR ANY MORE BASKETS SO THEY ARE GOING TO USE A VASE INSTEAD. I TOLD THEM THAT WAS NOT OK. THEN THEY HUNG UP! I CALLED BACK AGAIN, EXPLAINED THE SITUATION, AND THE WOMAN I TALKED TO SAID SHE THOUGHT IT WOULD LOOK OK. FIRST OFF I DIDNT ASK HER OPINION I WANTED MY ORDER FIXED. I ORDERED SPECIFIC FLOWERS AND BALLOONS FOR MY PARENTS ANNIVERSARY DINNER AND EXPLAINED THAT ONE BASKET AND ONE VASE FULL OF FLOWERS THAT WERE NOT WHAT I ORDERED ARE NOT OKAY AT ALL. HOW ON EARTH IS THAT OKAY TO HAVE ONE BASKET ON ONE END OF THEIR ANNIVERSARY DINNER AND ONE VASE???!!! THIS IS THERE ANNIVERSARY! I TOLD THEM TO FIX MY ORDER OR REFUND MY MONEY RIGHT AWAY, THEN I WAS PUT ON HOLD FOR OVER 30 MINUTES. FINALLY I ASKED TO TALK TO A MANAGER AND WAS PUT ON HOLD FOR ANOTHER 30 MINUTES. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN.
So I ordered a flower arrangement along with a teddy bear and balloon from Justflowers.com. Then looked up reviews and saw that they were terrible and started to worry! I called the customer service line and made it very clear that my flowers needed to be there on time! It was my mom’s birtday and being across the country, I wanted to do something special for her. Well unlike all of the other horror stories it was there about 2 hours later. The lady who helped me was named lox? or locks? Anyway she was incredibly helpful and remained calm and friendly through out the entire process. She also called to inform me the flowers were on their way. My dad called not even five minutes later to let me know the flowers, balloon, and teddy did indeed arrive.
The only downfall is that the bouqet looked nothing like the photo. It was the “uplifting arrangement.” Well it was more like something I could make on my own. The colors were right, the vase was wrong and also the flowers were only carnations. If you go to their site, that arrangement has various flowers.
There is a box, when you order, for any specific instructions. I just put that it NEEDED to be on time. The only thing I would do different the next time I order would be to state that the arrangement must look exactly as it is in the photo online.
Overall the experience was okay. I may or may not order from this company again. I was disappointed with the arrangement but I am very grateful that I got exceptional customer service. Maybe I got the only good one? Regardless, if you’re pressed for time they’re definitally worth a shot.
To whom it may concern,
I just wanted to take a moment to inform everyone how dissatisfied I was with Just Flowers service. Just Flowers service really dropped the ball on my order. I as most people know that flowers are important to women on Valentine’s Day. If Just Flowers could not perform under our agreement they should not have entered into it. Then Just Flowers waits until 5:00 pm my time to inform me that they screwed up and allowed me no time to make other arrangements. That is unacceptable. Next when I hit cancel on the order Just Flowers asks if taking ten dollars off the order will change anything….. Are you serious? If that was the case I would not have been ordering flowers on Valentine’s Day. So Just Flowers has insulted me on top of everything else. I have tried on-line flower shopping twice now with horrible results each time. Never again! Everyone should know Just Flowers actually should mean JUST DON’T! To make matters worse I am sure Just Flowers will still try to bill my Discover Card. Let me advise that an action such as that will be a huge mistake. There are remedies for people in my position against companies who attempt to take advantage of customers. I will avail myself to those remedies if necessary! Again- Just Flowers really dropped the ball on this one. I assure you I will never attempt to do business with Just Flowers again and I will share my experiences involving Just Flowers customer service with my friends. If you need a florist, call a good local florist, DON’T SHOP ON-LINE!
To whom it may concern,
I am writing to let everyone know how horrible the service at Just Flowers was for my order. I was out of town for our anniversary and purchased flowers for my wife. They told me that they would be there in the morning, but at least by 1:00 PM. They arrived late in the afternoon and she was unable to enjoy them and have many of the people she works with see them as well. When I callled them they told me the flowers were delivered and that they met their responsibilities. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM “JUST FLOWERS” AGAIN. I will tell everyone I know this story, the organizations I’m in, the company I work for, etc. If your thinking of buying flowers for someone, DO NOT choose “JUST FLOWERS”.
Buy once and these folk will spam you forever – they use multiple names. In one day I received six emails trying to get me to send flowers for easter
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!. Ordered flowers on Sat morning for Easter. They said no problem getting the flowers there that day. Credit card was charged that day from Just Flowers. Found out from my family they had nothing delivered, and it’s now Wednesday. Called to cancel the order. They said nothing can be done until they speak with the florist who was responsible for delivering them. They said sometimes on holidays the florist gets behind but usually they’re delivered by Tuesday!!! I asked why I would want flowers that say Happy Easter to be delivered on the Wednesday AFTER Easter ???? They said they would be willing to get them out today with an updated card and a $5 credit!!!! No explanation as to why they had not been delivered, no message from them saying the order was never delivered. I’m not feeling hopeful about the refund, but I will definitely not go down without a huge fight!
It was my girlfriends last day in college on her graduation year so I decided to surprise her with flowers. Long story short: 1)I paid $60 and got about $10 worth of flowers 2) they forgot to include my personal message 3) They put a greeting card that said, “CONGRATS ITS A GIRL!”
My girlfriend called me crying and confused….not the response I was hoping for! Its not everyday that you find out your pregos via flowers! Talk about a good intention gone terrible.
I spent 3 hrs on the phone with the “manager” and the best they could offer me was either $10 or more crappy flowers.
You get someone flowers for the message and intrinsic value behind them. By them offering to send more flowers is beside the case and doesn’t correct THEIR mistake! Justflowers is a terrible business that has no pride or care for customer satisfaction!
f that company! they were 3 days late delivering. and get this…I told them my mother never received flowers..and they told me they delivered them to the wrong addy and that my mother could go to that house to get them back. are you f-ing kidding me??? they refused to cancel and said that they were delivered and said that they would gladly call my mom to tell her where to go and pick them up. as if the people who accidently received them needed to even get involved…not even safe or professional to send my mom to get them. i am furious. just went to bank to cancel money going through to these a holes! .. what a joke.
So, these guys are the worst. last minute when i can’t order from someone else they tried to extort some extra money figuring I would have to pay it.
Just flowers is Horriable they can’t get mother s day flowers on mothersday when they said they would
Hmm. Let me share what i know about all these flower shop.
First if it is a website shop they are offering 2 types of deliveries.
one is a normal delivery and the other one is using carriers like fedex.
If it is a normal delivery what they do is they transfer the order to the local florist in your area. Then the local florist will do the delivery. They would just give information about the arrangement and it’s now up to the local florist to do his thing.(This is usually the reason why they can’t do anything because they are either lazy or just doesn’t want to communicate with each other if there is a mistake)
If it is UPS or Fedex delivered you would notice these since there would be 3 business days required allotment from the time of order to the time of delivery. These will mostly result to the flowers not being arranged and separated. But delivered on time.
With regards to the time. When you place an order listen closely and you should realize that they never guarantee an exact time unless it’s funeral. Even timed deliveries require a window time.
Next is the substitution. The substitution of the arrangement i heard them before “similar look and feel” usually results to a good arrangement but this will be dependent to the local florist that received the order and they would just replace everything they can with what they have.
Next during holidays or peak seasons
They are forwarding their phones to an offsite processing center that can either make a message or take an order. They do not have any information whatsoever about you or your order! They cannot answer anything because they do not know anything about what the florist ,who received the arrangement, is doing. They don’t even know the florist who received the order. However when they do send an order or message, It is received by the website administrator or office or manager. The manager then processes the message but they only process it during regular business days. So don’t expect a callback or answer if the shop is closed or it is holiday. Calling over and over again will not do you any good since they would just send and send messages over and over again. That is unless you got your chance to talk to the florist itself (which is rare in peak seasons). Moreover you could get flagged if you exceed a certain limit or something.
If you have issues call once or twice the florist will receive the message but will take them usually a day to call you back. if they did not you could call again. If you decided to call again then you are just adding and fueling your frustration. You might as well just go and visit the shop personally.
Remember if you ask nicely (even though you already want to kill the representative) you will get information about how things work.
I have been ordering flowers before and i encountered a lot of problems both in website shops and local florist. Majority of the arrangement makes it, some just don’t and i just get a refund.
This is not just for “just flowers” but for majority of the flowers shops.
I guess thats it.
I think it is safe to say that this has got to be the one of the worst florist service available online and I would strongly suggest that people look elsewhere. Spend a little time and call a local florist in the area instead of these online services that take the orders in India and then try to make good on the order with local florists. I don’t want to go into the details of how this company was unable to provide a service that they gladly charged to my credit card, it has already been said in this thread. I do think they should have to actually pay me for the inconvenience that they have caused by not delivering the Mother’s Day arrangement on or before Mother’s Day as was agreed. I believe this to be a breach of contract for which they entered into when they charged my card and gave me a confirmation number.
Just Flowers? JUST DON’T. The only thing worse than their delivery is their customer service. Ordered on a Friday for a Saturday delivery (for Mothers Day on Sunday), Called Sunday, not delivered. Said they would find out what happened and get back to me. Nothing on Sunday. Nothing on Monday. Called Tuesday, and after getting hung up on (auto hang up after each 10 minutes on their 800 line (called three times). Finally got through, they said they needed to check with the florist, they did. Then the lady tells me it wasnt their fault, it was a COMPUTER GLITCH. Right. Whole experience was awful, back to 1-800 flowers for me.
Wish I had read all of these reviews before I place my order with JustFlowers.com. This was the worst experience I have had with any business. The flowers were never delivered. Trying to contact their customer service was a total nightmare. When I was successful getting through, their representative was totally useless. Still do not have resolution. Trying to get the order cancelled with a full refund. Will have the bank cancel the funding of the charges. My advice – NEVER USE JUSTFLOWERS.COM!!!!
I have mixed feelings about JustFlowers.com. And one has to remember that it is the local florist who is representing JustFlowers.com. Here is my story: A friend had had abdominal surgery and was in ICU at the local hospital. I ordered flowers on Wed., May 4, 2011 to have delivered to her on Friday. Several hours later I learned that during the surgery, cancer had been found throughout much of her abdomen and the prognosis was one week to 10 days. I called JustFlowers customer service to see if I could get the message changed and they accommodated me, although, they said they could not absolutely guarantee that the florist would get it in time. As it was Wed. 9 pm EDT and the florist was closed and delivery was not until Fri., I felt confident that if they did their part, the message would get changed. On Thu. I received an email from JustFlowers advising that since my friend was in ICU and the hospital did not allow live flowers in ICU, my order was on hold until she was moved out of ICU. That happened Sunday afternoon. Tue. I learned that my friend had passed away very early that same morning. I checked email and did not find any kind of confirmation to let me know the flowers had been delivered. So, I called JustFlowers.com to find out what was the status of my order. I could not get through…the message was they were not answering the phone because of the recent holiday (Mother’s Day) and the high volume of calls (this is my interpretation of their message) and to just reply to the order confirmation email I had received. I replied as directed and received an email that it was deliverable as addressed and it displayed a bizarre email address that was not “service@justflowers.com”. I called their “order hotline number” that was provided in the we’re not answering message, but was told the order taker had no way of accessing my order and she could not get a supervisor to take my call. I will say this, the order taker was very pleasant while being very apologetic and offering condolences numerous times about my loss.
By this time, I had found all the negative comments online, so I was not holding out much hope. I hung up and contacted AMEX (the card I used) and started a “Dispute/Inquiry”. Wed. morning, at 9:54 EDT (6:54 their time), I received a telephone call from JustFlowers. Unfortunately, I was in the shower. They did not leave a message, but caller ID let me know they had called. I used that number to call them back (not a toll free #). This time, when I selected Customer Service, I was not told to take a hike, but was connected with somebody within about 2 min. After explanations, she gave me her name and then said she would call me back after her investigation. She did call back, within 90 min., and told me that the florist confirmed delivery of the flowers on Monday. The CSR also said she called the hospital directly to try confirm delivery.
She suggested I confirm delivery with the hospital. I didn’t know this before, but evidently, the hospital has a system for keeping track of flower deliveries, and they confirmed that my flowers were delivered on Mon. at 1:30 pm and told me the name of the florist. Wish I had known the hospital procedures…could have called the hospital directly without getting all upset over JustFlowers’ non-response.
Also, if I had known the name of the local florist from the get go, I would not have been so concerned. They are a very reputable florist in our area. In fact, they supply the weekly altar flower arrangements for my church. Given their reputation, I am feeling fairly confident the arrangement delivered was in good condition, despite the comments on this web site about the condition of the arrangements they ordered. Of course, I don’t know if my message got changed, but I’ll probably stop by the florist when I am out next and double check. Not something I will ask surviving family members at this point.
So the bottom line is that despite poor communication and the way JustFlowers handled calls after Mother’s Day, the flowers were handled by a reputable florist in our town and were delivered as soon as they could be given my friend’s situation at the hospital.
If I were to give them a rating (from 1 to 5), it would probably be a 3 because I did go through some significant frustration and because I have not seen the arrangement despite my limited knowledge of the florist used.
